Mint House
Mint House showcases the more traditional side of what we can do as a company. Designed by Astrain Scheldt Architects, this London home demonstrates how classic detailing and craftsmanship can meet modern performance standards to create a timeless, refined finish.
The Brief
The client wanted to retain the period character of the house while improving comfort, energy efficiency and light. The design team used our Vantage Classic system with astragal bars to echo the traditional proportions of a historic sash, while providing the benefits of contemporary glazing.

The Challenge
Each astragal bar was beautifully cut and mitred to create fine, elegant lines across the glass — a subtle detail that brings craftsmanship to the forefront. The outward-opening side entrance doors extend the dining space into the garden, maintaining the home’s classical rhythm while opening it up to light and air.
Internally, a window seat was introduced beside one of the feature windows, drawing the garden into the room and creating a comfortable corner that enhances the home’s warmth and intimacy.

The Outcome
The result is a traditional yet high-performance addition — triple-glazed, well-insulated, and energy efficient, while retaining the charm and detailing of a period home. Mint House captures how the Vantage Classic system can reinterpret heritage architecture with modern precision, combining elegance, performance, and authenticity in one cohesive design.
